Gift Cards for Staff Appreciation Week
We are collecting gift cards for Adams staff during Staff Appreciation Week! Please drop off your donations (preferably in the $10-$25 range) in the office by Friday, May 1. Alternatively, feel free to Venmo monetary donations for gift cards to the staff appreciation chair, @Leslie-Haynsworth.
"Kids Do Well If They Can": Co-Creating Solutions in Seattle Public Schools
The Seattle Special Education PTSA is excited to welcome Dr. Ross Greene for a timely, Seattle-focused conversation about the Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS) framework. CPS – a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and state-endorsed approach – can support Seattle Public School students with academic or behavioral challenges and provide their educators and families with practical strategies for success.
The CPS framework may be a valuable way for Adams Elementary families to express what kind of school culture we want for our students. Please consider registering for this free virtual conversation.

Book Bounce
Book Bounce is coming up on May 29! If your spring cleaning unearths any books you are ready to get rid of, please consider donating to the Book Bounce.
Highly sought-after books include graphic novels of all sorts, Dav Pilkey series (Dog Man, Cat Kid Comic Club, Captain Underpants), books about popular franchises (Harry Potter, Pokemon, Minecraft, Star Wars,etc.), and Weird But True series books.
We also welcome donations of cloth bags/reusable bags to help send home books from the Book Bounce! (No board books or holiday book donations, please.)
