Weekly Newsletter October 26-30!
Sun, Oct 25 6:54pm

Hi Adams Families,

It was so good to see our community enjoying time together as we explored the new curriculum at the first Principal Round Table and celebrated the season at Fall Fest!  We especially loved seeing so many kids (and grown-ups!) in costume!

We'll be wrapping up the Big Give this week with an exciting Donation Match offer and have Coffee and Community on Wednesday!  We're grateful for the many ways you show up for our kids, our school, and our community- thank you!

Sincerely,
The Adams PTA

Reflections Art Contest

A note from our Art Liaisons:

Announcing the Reflections Art Contest 2026–27!

The annual PTA Reflections Art Contest is here! This year the theme is “What my Culture Means to Me...” Students K–5 can enter in 6 categories: visual art, dance, music, photography, literature, and film. There is also an Accessible Arts Division for students who identify as having a disability.

Art teacher Ms. Anema has been working with all students to create a visual arts entry in art class, but students are encouraged to work on additional pieces at home. A handful of entries from Adams will then be selected to compete at the city, state or even national level. Historically Adams student entries have done very well. More information on evaluation criteria is available in the original newsletter.

A submissions box will be in the office for physical entries. Digital entries and any questions can be emailed to reflections@adamselementary.org.

Note: All entries must include a title and short artist’s statement about the work (e.g., What inspired your work? What materials or techniques did you use? How does it relate to the theme?).

Deadline for entries is November 13th, by end of school day.

Entry forms for work created at home and additional program information are available through the QR codes in the original newsletter.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions: reflections@adamselementary.org
