NEW! PTA President’s Message
Thank you to all the families who have completed the Back-to-School forms. For those families who have not yet had a chance to review the information, I encourage you to look through the materials. For more information, click here.
I’d like to encourage everyone to make a contribution to the PTA Fund. Unfortunately due to the current social distancing requirements from the County of Santa Clara and the uncertain future for in person gatherings, we have cancelled this year’s Addison Auction & Adult Party, our main fundraiser for the Addison community. We typically raise over $125,000 during the event to cover our annual budget. This year, our budget is a fraction of what it is in typical years as we are only planning for what is necessary to support students and the learning environment while we are in the distance learning model. Typically we budget for items such as community events and field trips - however this year we are only budgeting for items such as learning materials for all students, staff grants to support innovation in instruction, and library books. We are asking for a donation of $150 per student, however we encourage families to give any amount appropriate for their financial situation. On behalf of the PTA Executive Board, I thank you in advance for your support.
I look forward to “seeing” many of you during this week’s Principal/ PTA/ PiE Back to School Night on Tuesday, Sept. 1st at 6pm. At the end of the presentations, the presenters will be taking questions and comments, similar to the Principal’s Coffees. Link to join Webinar: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84955082501
Wishing you all health,
