NEW! PTA President's Message
As we begin the final week of Black History Month, I am excited to share additional opportunities for Addison students and families to join with other elementary students across PAUSD to learn, honor and explore ways that Black leaders have improved our lives and made the world a better place.
Black History Celebration Newsletters
Each newsletter highlights at least five Black Leaders, two Black History moments, and four Black History learning opportunities. During our 2/26 Family Fun Night, some of the concepts of Bingo and Kahoot games will be based on the newsletter content.
Black History Celebration Bedtime Story Night on Wednesday, 2/24 at 6:30pm
We are excited to host children’s book author, Patrice McLaurin, for a virtual author evening visit. Patrice will read from her wonderful picture book Have You Thanked an Inventor Today? At the end of the presentation, there will be a 12-book giveaway with a signed book going to a student participant from each of the 12 PAUSD elementary schools. Books can be purchased before or after the event for a special PAUSD discount as well.
