NEW! PTA President's Message
This week Principal Boyce announced a pilot of full return to school for our first grade students. With each step forward to expand the hybrid program; our teachers and staff remain focused on COVID safety on campus. It is critical that our community does our part off-campus to limit the spread of COVID-19 by following all county health guidelines including the following:
- Students may participate in only one program outside of in-person school at a time - more info available here
- Mandatory directive on travel - more info available here
- Mask up! More info available here
- Limited social gatherings outside of your household members - more info available here
At the end of each school year, the PTA recognizes and thanks our graduating families. This week, I am going to stretch my “presidential” duties and acknowledge and thank the Renners Family - Hope, Brodie, Grace, Susan and JC - who will be moving out of the community this month. The Renners have been a positive influence since arriving at Addison in summer of 2016. JC served on the PTA Executive Board, including 2 terms as president. In JC’s honor, one more dad joke - “I like telling Dad jokes. Sometimes he laughs!”

NEW! Save Cubberley from PG&E Eminent Domain Claim
Cubberley is part of the history of Palo Alto and many of us have enjoyed using these facilities including PAUSD’s youngest students at Greendell - PreSchool Family and several other pre-schools on campus. Cubberley also houses our district post-secondary classes for students in special education, family sports and arts activities, and social activities and classes for seniors in our community to enjoy. PG&E) is aggressively seeking to acquire permanent easements spanning about half an acre at Cubberley. Without any meaningful discussions with PAUSD or the City of Palo Alto, PG&E has unilaterally determined that Cubberley is the only suitable space to conduct testing of its natural gas pipeline running under Middlefield Road. Please help PAUSD’s efforts to stop this action by considering signing a petition sponsored by the school district - SAVE CUBBERLY. Sign the Petition. You can also learn more about this important issue at www.pausd.org/about-us/news/save-cubberley.
PTA Nominating Committee for 2021-22 School Year Forming

If you are interested in joining the nominating committee, please reach out via email - firstname.lastname@example.org. Nominating Committee is a once a year commitment and is a great way to help ensure a wide range of community members are aware of open positions and helps us get more families involved throughout the school year.
