NEW! Student Photos: FDL Scheduling
Picture Day is on March 19 for FDL Students.  Use the link below if you would like your FDL student(s) to participate in picture day.  It will occur after the hybrid students have ended their day and it will be a touchless process with the photographer in the MP Room with plenty of ventilation.  If you have any questions, reach out to Nancy at 650-322-5935 or npanayides@pausd.org

NEW! California Arbor Week!

Here at Addison, we love trees! March 7-14 is California Arbor Week!  That is a week to celebrate TREES in California. We have lots of books about trees in the library.  You can go onto our online catalog through your Rapid Id, look for OPALS and request a tree book:
or at www.add.opals.pausd.org To request a book be sure to login using your 950 number, no password is needed. Do you like drawing?  You can also enter a poster contest!

Use refillable containers for smaller portions of yogurt, fruit, juice, chips and crackers. Bring your own stainless or bamboo cutlery, cloth napkins and reusable water bottles.

June 7-11 and June 14-18, Speech from 10AM-12PM and Debate from 1PM-3PM
Registration for the seventeenth annual 2021 Palo Alto Speech and Debate Camp (PASDC) is open! Year after year, elementary and middle schoolers leave PASDC with improved public speaking, research skills, critical thinking abilities, and self-confidence. Taught by Palo Alto’s nationally ranked high school Speech and Debate team, our unmatchable 4:1 student-to-counselor ratio provides students with individualized attention and support. PASDC’s basic and advanced programs offer customized curriculum for campers of all experience levels and prepare students for high school level competition. To ensure the safety of our campers, we will be planning for a full virtual camp like the previous year, with counselors who are experienced with the online platform. NEW! Help Students Who Need You Most - Learn about All Students Matter

Come learn about volunteering next school year, once a week in a K-8th grade classroom in eastern Menlo Park and East Palo Alto. Over 80% of East Palo Alto and eastern Menlo Park students are performing below grade level in reading and math. As a classroom volunteer, you will work with the same teacher and student for one hour, every week during the full school year. It’s an opportunity to build a relationship with a student and impact his or her life.  All Students Matter provides training and coordinates logistics with you and your schedule in mind.
