NEW! Addison School Site Council - Open Positions for 2021-22 School Year
Addison staff is busy planning for next year and Principal Boyce needs your support!  It's time to fill the parent positions for the 2021-22  School Site Council (SSC).  SSC is a parent leadership group that meets monthly to discuss facilities, the social/ emotional climate on campus and instructional goals.  The Addison SSC includes the principal, three other staff members, and four parents. Members serve for two years. The School Site Council is a great opportunity to allot state funding to programs, initiatives, and resources that support the whole child. If you are interested in one of the open SSC positions or serving as an alternate, please email a letter of interest to Principal Boyce (aboyce@pausd.org) with the following information: name, grade levels of your children, and a brief statement explaining why you want to be a member of the School Site Council. The deadline for SSC letters of interest is Friday, May 14.

Our dear friend and colleague Gabrielle Conway passed away on March 31 after a long battle with cancer. Gabrielle contributed so much to our family of PTAs, and her loss is immeasurable. She served as a parent volunteer at Walter Hays, Jordan/Greene, Paly, and on the PTA Council as VP of Communications for many years. She was a recipient of a PTAC Honorary Service Award for her tireless work on revamping and streamlining the communications piece for all 17 PTAs. Gabrielle led many committees and training sessions, and offered support and advice to many other parent volunteers. She was a leader and team player, and professional and friendly every step of the way. She was a constant advocate for our students, and she will be genuinely missed.
