NEW! PTA President's Message
Campus was full of excitement and energy as we celebrated Halloween this week. Thank you to our PTA event leads Jane Kirk, Rob Babcock, Meredith Ackley and Missy Reller and all the volunteers who made this Addison tradition a success once again. A special note of thanks to Meredith and Missy who have been coordinating this event for many years and whose children are graduating from Addison this year.
The November PTA meeting will be held on Tue, Nov. 12 immediately after drop off. We’ll be recapping the results of the auction and other important items for our school community. If you are interested in becoming more involved at school, PTA meetings are a great way to learn about programs, events and issues that impact our students.
PiE Rally Days are here and there is an exciting opportunity that doubles your donation amount. If you haven’t yet donated to PiE, please consider doing so as your contribution helps fund important programs at Addison. PiE donations support classroom aide time, Spectra Art, Bill the Science Guy, counseling support and classroom intervention at Addison. No donation is too small and our goal is 100% participation at Addison.
New! PiE Rally Days: The Challenge Grant Returns!
|If you have been waiting for the right moment to complete your PiE donation for the year, the time has come! Generous donors have offered up a special Rally Days challenge grant, and will match donations up to $254,000 through November 18. Please support our students by donating to PiE today. If you have already given or pledged, thank you so much. If not, now is a great time. Donate today!|

New! Help with Warm Gear for Brentwood Academy
Several Addison families are part of a volunteer team that has “adopted” Brentwood Academy (K-5) in Ravenswood District (EPA). Our efforts support teacher appreciation and retention. We'd love your help with a project to support the students.
Brentwood is 2.1 miles from our school, closer than many of the other PAUSD elementary schools. The students at Brentwood are our neighbors and 45% of these kids are homeless. (REF Annual Report) The teachers have asked for our support to provide warm gear for the winter months. Our goal is to provide students with a fleece/hooded sweatshirt by Friday, Nov 8th.
We will be collecting new or very gently used hoodies or fleece. A collection bin labeled 'Warm Gear for Brentwood' will be located by the Addison lost & found closet. Also, feel free to shop this list: Amazon Shopping List Brentwood Academy. Any contribution will help us achieve our goal. When you get to the check-out step "Choose a Shipping Address" you will see an option to ship to "Brentwood Academy Gift Registry". Choosing this option will deliver the items to our team who will pass them along to the students of Brentwood Academy!
New! Palo Alto PTA Council: 2020 Convention Resolution on VAPING
