NEW! PTA President’s Message
This week our K/1 families made the decision between Hybrid and Full Distance Learning options. Addison’s results are as follows:
- Kindergarten: 60% of students selected hybrid and 40% selected full distance learning
- Grade 1: 62% of students selected hybrid and 38% selected full distance learning
Principal and school staff are focused on maintaining as much stability as possible for our students, however class assignments are ultimately driven by the learning option decisions made by Addison families. For Kindergarten and Grade 1, current Addison students will remain with the existing teaching teams, although classroom/teacher assignments may shift for some students. In both Kindergarten and Grade 1, two Addison teachers will be assigned to hybrid learning and one Addison teacher will be assigned to a full distance learning. Hybrid students will begin returning to campus starting on October 12th.
Principal Boyce hosted a Principal’s Coffee for all grade levels on Friday. If you were unable to make the meeting or are interested in reviewing the information, a recording is available HERE. The presentation is available HERE.
Wishing you all health,

NEW! Green Tip! Food Waste
When we waste food, we waste the resources used to produce the food, too. Plan meals, with space for lunches and leftovers, for how much your family eats. Before you plan or shop, look in the fridge, and bring to the front things that need to be used up fast. Encourage kids to take only what they can eat, and then get more if they want. Serve leftovers for snack, freeze them, repurpose them and finally, compost them. More tips here: International Day of Awareness on Food Loss and Waste Reduction
