NEW! PTA President’s Message
Addison Community:

It is hard to believe we are about to begin the 7th week of school! This week we will hold our 4th cycle of materials drop off/pick up, which is a testament to our entire community’s commitment to making learning for our students – in whatever form – work!

This has been another week full of information regarding school reopening plans. Our K/1 families will be the first to decide between Hybrid or Distance Learning options. To help support this decision-making process, Principal Boyce hosted a Principal’s Coffee for these families on Friday. If you have a child in these grades and were unable to make the meeting or are interested in reviewing the information, a recording is available HERE. The presentation is available HERE.

An all-school Principal’s Coffee is scheduled for this week – details will be sent from Principal Boyce. In addition to this information session, the PTA is developing an Addison Reopening FAQ. If you have general questions about Addison’s reopening plans, please send them to addisonschoolpta@gmail.com and we will work to get them answered as quickly as possible, in partnership with Principal Boyce.

Superintendent Don Austin hosted a meeting this week on the reopening for all district families. Topics covered included safety, program, choice, negotiations, acknowledgement of concerns, and return dates. The webinar can be viewed HERE.

Wishing you all health,

Lauren Williams
PTA President

NEW! Distance Learning Survey from PAUSD
The Superintendent’s Update this week included information regarding the second round of the check-in survey for parents and secondary students. If you missed it, the survey can be accessed HERE

Updated! VOTE AND VOLUNTEER FOR MEASURE O
GET A LAWN SIGN
HELP DISTRIBUTE LAWN SIGNS
Volunteers for Measure O are needed to place lawn signs in our school neighborhood. Donate online, endorse, advocate to our PTA via social channels (FB, Next Door, WeChat, Line). Thank our school PTA for supporting this. Please direct questions to our PTA President, Lauren Williams. Click here for more info https://supportpaloaltoschools.org/.  Palo Alto PTAs support Yes On O! For almost 20 years, local voter-approved parcel taxes have generated over $15 million in locally-controlled funding to keep our schools strong, and it is up for renewal on the November ballot. This measure needs 66.7 percent of voters to approve to pass, and every vote counts. Please show your support with a lawn sign.
