What a busy week we have behind us and busy week ahead for all of us at Addison! For those of you who need a quick weekend refresh about what's happening around Addison, this is your chance.
Hoedown! Tonight! 5pm to 8:30pm. Stop by for great BBQ, terrific music, square dancing performances and an unforgettable 4th grade bake sale! Food tickets $20 per person at the door.
Book Fair! Hooray! You still have time to shop! The book fair will be open in the Addison MP room today from 8am to 3pm and again during the Hoedown from 5pm to 8pm. While you're there, please don't forget to check out the teacher wish list baskets on the stage if you'd like to buy books for your favorite Addison classrooms, staff, specialists, AKC or the front office. There are still many titles to choose from. Pick a book, purchase it, and deliver it!
Walk & Roll Week! Next week is Walk & Roll Week! Please join Addison in helping us celebrate Walk & Roll Week Oct. 2 through Oct. 5. For your health, our planet, increased safety, and a chance at the Golden Sneaker, please consider walking, biking, scooting, carpooling or taking the bus to school next week. To kick of Walk & Roll week, you can join Bike Palo Alto! on Sunday October 1 from 1pm to 3pm at El Carmelo School.
Traffic Safety Notes. Please note that Lincoln Ave from Middlefield to Bryant will be repaved on Friday October 6th. From Monday, October 2, through Thursday, October 5, no parking signs will be posted as they prep for paving. Access to these areas will be extremely limited to non-existent - please plan accordingly. This is another good reason to walk & roll next week!
In addition, curb/sidewalk work is occurring on the west side of Middlefield moving south toward Walter Hayes. Please expect lane closures on Middlefield. Also, during the week of Oct 9th, the corners of Middlefield and Addison will be dug out and replaced.
Have a great weekend, Addison! We hope to see you all at the Hoedown tonight!
