Addison Families & Friends -
As Principal Boyce shared at the end of 2018, "Nathan's Cart" is coming to Addison. This positive memorial has been made possible by the imagination, creative spirit, passion, and generosity of last year's graduating class and Nathan's family & friends.
While details are still being finalized on the official launch date of this amazing lunch time experience for our students, we need the Addison Community's help to prepare!
First, we need to fill Nathan's Cart with LEGO! If your LEGO bins are overflowing and/or you have LEGO you want to donate, bring them to school and help us keep the creative building going! There will be marked bins outside of the Library before and after school starting February 4th to collect donations. We are looking for all types of LEGO - and don't worry about sorting, we'll take care of that!
Second, we need help running Nathan's Cart during lunch recess in Room 21. In order for the cart to be available, we need at least one adult supervisor present from 12:15-1:15pm . Ideally we are looking for volunteers who can commit to one day each week for the remainder of the school year - and we'd like to have the cart "open" 3-4 days a week. We can't run Nathan's Cart without your help! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for this exciting new opportunity for our kids please contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org) ASAP. I can also work with volunteers who would like to be paired up to share the experience or work on a bi-weekly rotation.
It is time to celebrate as Nathan's Cart is almost ready to roll into our lives! I look forward to sharing more details about the exact launch date with you very soon.
