Every other Wednesday, Aiken offers a delicious, fresh salad bar for students to enjoy at lunch. However, this is only possible if we have a parent volunteer at the salad bar during the lunch shift (11:15-1:00)! This is an important AND fun way to volunteer at Aiken, so please consider signing up! Click on the link to see which days volunteers are needed and to sign up. Thanks so much for supporting this important meal choice! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0c49a9a723abff2-aiken
AIKEN CHESS CLUB
Like athletics are exercise for the body, chess is exercise for the mind. Engaging in chess activity provides school students a substantial advantage in education; essentially development of the mind and patterns of thinking not otherwise offered or encountered. Luckily, it is also fun and engaging.
Club meetings for the spring will be in the Aiken library from 3:30 (3:20) to 4:30 on Thursday: March 28, April 4, 18, 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, June 6. The program is for students grade k through 5, no prior experience necessary.
