Fun and Exciting Happenings
Sun, Mar 28 2:24pm

Hi Aiken Families,

Please read through.

There are some fun and exciting things coming up.

Cultural Traditions Night

Cultural Traditions Night is such a huge opportunity to share and celebrate who we are and where we come from! There are 27 different languages spoken at Aiken which is the highest in all of the elementary schools!  In the past we have held booths in the gym where families can display information about where they come from!  This year will have to look a little bit different.  We are asking families to create videos (no longer than 5 minutes please) highlighting your cultural backgrounds.  You can dance, you can cook, you can read, the sky’s the limit! We can’t wait to see what you create!

Please send videos to aikenpto@gmail.com no later than Friday, April 16th.

These videos will be presented on April 29th along with exciting LIVE entertainment and surprise special guests! More information to come!

Barre Event
Get ready for a fun, full body barre workout with plenty of outdoor open space for social distancing!

Pop-up Barre44 class with owner Danielle Srb followed by healthy drinks, treats from Overflow, and shopping experience.

$20 per ticket.  Tickets include a swag bag, sample shake from Overflow, and an automatic entry to win fun prizes!  Proceeds will benefit the Tyler Family.

Please make payment through cash or paypal to Aiken PTO.

 AIKEN'S GOT TALENT

We are now accepting video auditions to the third annual Aiken’s Got Talent show! Last year’s virtual show was a hit, and we can’t wait to see the talent that is on display this year! Please submit all videos to Abiah Ruel at abiahruel@gmail.com by March 31. The Talent Show will, again, be virtual and we plan to put it out sometime in May. Please keep in mind that, in the interest of time, all talent show submissions cannot exceed 2 minutes. Please feel free to email Abiah with any questions.

Aikens Cookbook

Lets celebrate the amazing diversity we have at Aiken.

Do you have a recipe your family has enjoyed? A recipe unique to your background, one passed down from generations?  We would love to share it!

Please send in your recipe so we can create a special cookbook for Aiken.

Fill out the form below for your chance to be in the first Aiken Community Cookbook. Pictures are welcome and encouraged.  Submit the  attached form back to tina_provenzano@icloud.com

We are looking for some Aiken art for the cookbook cover. If your Aiken student would like to submit a drawing to be considered. Please send it into school, attention PTO. NO LATER then Wednesday March 31. This is also the deadline for recipes.
