A message from Principal Mlodzinski re: School Lunch Accounts
I hope you are doing well and had a great break. I am looking forward to seeing the kids tomorrow. Just a reminder that the free lunch program has ended. If your child buys lunch at school, here is a reminder on how to add money to their account.
If you would like to add money to your child's lunch account, you have a few meal payment options. You may choose to prepay. The system is flexible and accommodates the child who purchases occasionally or on a daily basis. I have attached a meal payment form for your convenience. Payments should be sent to the school office. If you have more than one student in the same school, you can submit one check. Please make sure to specify how you would like the check applied. Make checks payable to West Hartford Nutrition Services and write your child’s full name in the memo line. We cannot accept checks under $10.00.
You may also pay by credit/debit card by going to http://www.PayPAMS.com. A nominal convenience fee will be charged. Please refer to the attached flyer for further explanation and instructions. Paypams also offers several services for FREE including low-balance email notifications. You can also check your child’s balance at any time, check what your child is purchasing for meals/snacks, and apply for free and reduced meals electronically. It takes 1-2 business days before balances and cafeteria purchases can be displayed for new registrants and it will be from the point you register going forward. These services are all free and you are not required to put money into your child’s account through Paypams to receive these benefits. You may also opt to send your child to school with cash.
If you would like to apply for free or reduced price meals, please click here to access the application. You are encouraged to complete the electronic online application instead of a paper application. A link to the paper form can be found here. If you have received a NOTICE OF DIRECT CERTIFICATION for free or reduced-price meals, do not complete the application unless instructed by the district.
For your convenience, I have also included a link to a price list for meals and a la carte items. If you have any questions or need help navigating this process, please contact the main office at 860-233-6994. I have also included a link to the January lunch menu.
Have a great week!
