Upcoming events: 

 

Aiken Fall Festival: Saturday, October 22nd 11am-2pm

Please join us for our annual Fall Festival.There will be music, games, food, face painting, pumpkin painting & more. The Aiken PTO will be setting up the Aiken Pumpkin Patch at school before the event so each student will have a pumpkin to bring to the festival to paint.There will be pumpkins for sale also. See the attached flyer for more details.

Winter Coat Drive: Starts October 3rd 

Donate your NEW and gently USED coats, snowsuits, gloves, mittens and other winter and warm wear. All sizes are welcome. Items will be collected in front of Aiken's main office and at the Fall Festival. Donations will be given to the Bridge Family Center West Hartford. Thank you in advance for your donations. 

 

Lyman Pie Fundraiser: Starts 9/27 and Ends 10/17

One of our most successful fundraisers is back! Ordering will be contactless, so no order forms or checks to collect. All orders can be made online, and a link to your fundraising page can be sent easily to friends and family. A flyer will go home with your children today (see attached). Be sure to check out the cookie dough, popcorn and coffee. 

***Pies can be picked up on November 22nd at Aiken School***

  • Open email invite
  • Click the link and login to your personal dashboard. You will need to create a password. Your email will be your user ID.
  • Invite buyers to purchase. Click the invite buyers link on the left hand side of the screen. 
    • Option 1 Text the link to and then retext all the people you would like to invite to purchase.
    • Option 2 Copy and paste all your contact email and cell number into the box. This will send them an invite to purchase from your store.
    • Option 3 Copy the link and email/text it to your friend and family. This link can also go on your social media sites. It will bring them directly to your store to purchase.

 

Kids Pop-Up Market: October 15th

Big News! The WEHA POP-UP Kids Market is back! It'll be held in Blue Back Square on October 15th, 10am - 2pm! Do you know any budding entrepreneurs in High School, Middle School or Elementary School? All kids participating are given the opportunity to create, market and sell their very own products! Vendors will keep all proceeds they make at the market. All potential vendors can sign up and find more information at www.POPUPKIDSMARKET.com. What an experience for the youngsters in our community to learn first-hand what it takes to be an entrepreneur! West Hartford Rotary Club's Beatlemania: November 5th

–The Rotary Club of West Hartford is pleased to announce the
first annual “Rock ‘N Rotary: Beatlemania” charity concert. The event will be held Saturday November 5,
2022, 12pm at Infinity Hall in Hartford, CT and features “The Cast of Beatlemania”—a nationally touring
band that “recreates the sights and sounds of The BEATLES so faithfully that you will recall when the world
was engulfed in the most pleasant fever of all: BEATLEMANIA!”. The School of Rock West Hartford House
Band--a student lead all-star band featuring the most talented musicians in the School of Rock performance
program--will perform as the opening act. See attached flyer for more details.

5th grade Committee Meeting: October 17th @ 7pm 

 

Each year, a committee helps plan a special for the graduating class. Please join us in the Aiken Library to learn more about all of the exciting plans and how you can help. See attached flyer for more details.

If you're interested in volunteering but don't have a lot of time and can only do a few things a year or have a craft, hobby or skill you're good at, we would love for you to volunteer.
