Hi Aiken Families,

 

 The Aiken Pickin' Patch was a HUGE success!  Everyone was able to select their own pumpkin, and use some fun stickers to decorate it with.  Thank you to all those involved!  

 
Charleston Wrap Fundraiser
 
 Thank you to all of the families that are already participating in the Charleston Wrap fundraiser.  We have already sold 124 items! Please check out the website if you haven't and keep in mind that this fundraiser ends on 11/30.

Students were sent home with a Charleston Wrap participation incentive flyer. The flyer notes that students can "Win a Prize Tomorrow" for sending 10 emails to families and friends. Since we are not allowed in school to distribute these prizes, and do not want to overwhelm the office staff, we plan to put these in the teacher's boxes once a week. Thanks for your understanding. 
 
Aiken Night at Blue Elephant
We had $1250 in sales for Aiken Night ($150 made for us)!!   Blue Elephant said that’s the most successful night they’ve had with a school.  Way to go Aiken!
 
Scholastic Book Fair

Aiken’s annual Book Fair will be starting next week 11/09-11/22 so mark your calendar!  During library classes next week students will be hearing book talks about the books available for purchase and creating “wish lists”, so please be on the lookout for those.  This year the fair will look a little different and be a virtual fair hosted by Scholastic!  To kick off this virtual event, please join me from home in your PJ’s for the read aloud “Book Fair Day” by Lynn Plourde on Monday 11/9 @ 7:00-7:15. After the read aloud, the link to the book fair will be posted and you can shop the site!
