Dear Doniphan Families,
Our wonderful school nurse has alerted us to a need for extra clothing for those unexpected moments that can happen at school. In particular, we're looking for sweatpants or leggings, new or gently used, in sizes 5, 6, and 7 or XS/small/medium, for both boys and girls.
If you've just cleaned out closets for kids who grew a few inches since last winter, or are out shopping and see a great deal, please consider donating any spare comfy pants in good condition to the school.
Donations can be dropped off in the nurse's office or front office anytime.
Mrs. O'Riley, the school counselor, is also happy to accept donations of Halloween costumes in elementary-kid sizes and warm winter gear such as coats and hats to help out families in need. She and nurse Bridget also keep snacks on hand for hungry students if you would consider donating individually wrapped items like crackers, granola bars, etc.
Thank you for sharing during this season of giving!
