On Thursday, November 16th, Olentangy schools will come together for Raising for Relief (And to be Raiff!), a fundraising effort with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
Students will be encouraged to donate $1 or more, and to wear Hawaiian style clothing to school that day to show unity and support for those in the southern United States, the Caribbean, and California who were impacted by recent natural disasters (Hurricanes Irma, Maria, and Matthew, along with the California wildfires).
Students will get one ticket for every dollar they donate and tickets from all participating schools will be placed into a drawing and the winner of the drawing will get to be “Superintendent for a Day!” There will be one high school winner, one middle school winner, and one elementary school winner.
OLSD Superintent Mark Raiff will select the winners in a Facebook Live drawing on Tuesday, November 21st. The drawing time will be announced at a later date.
