[UPDATE] Argonne Chinese After-School Program (CASP) enrollment application link, tuition, sibling discount
Tue, Jul 27 6:58am
Hello again fellow Argonne families,
I hope this message finds you well. Argonne CASP, a program of the Argonne PTO, closed its first-round application window yesterday, Monday, July 26, after a strong response -- thank you to all who have submitted an official enrollment application. Now, CASP is pleased to invite the rest of the Argonne community to add students to the waitlist during this second-round application period:
The 2021-22 after-school program covers Argonne's Fall and Winter semesters (August 16-June 1, for the daily after-school period ending 6pm). The tuition is:
$350 per month, to be paid 10 months, from August 2021 to May 2022. Sibling discount of $500  per year applies to all families with a second Argonne child enrolled in CASP.
Please visit argonnesf.org/CASP to get acquainted with CASP. The 2021-22 program offers:
  • reduced class sizes
  • safety training (including first aid and CPR) for classroom instructors and other site staff
  • Better Chinese Mandarin-language curriculum
  • Wednesday enrichments such as kung fu and music (additional fee applies)
  • participation in Lunar New Year celebration

The current enrollment application window ends Friday, July 30. The CASP Enrollment team is assessing the first-round applications received as of yesterday and will determine how placement will be offered. Then, second-round applications will be waitlisted and reviewed. First-round applicants (i.e. respondents to our pre-enrollment/interest form who also submitted an actual enrollment application) take priority. Returning CASP families who missed the first-round window will then be considered.

Completion of the form is not a guarantee of placement. Placement in the program is official only upon written notification of acceptance by CASP, as well as receipt of your first electronic payment by the deadline to be specified in the written notification. CASP students will be grouped into three classes, based on a combination of grade level, Mandarin-language experience (if any), instructor-to-student ratio and (very importantly) physical capacity. The absence of a prompt first payment will be considered a decline of the spot offered, in which case the spot will be offered to another family.

Please e-mail info@argonnecasp.org by Friday, July 30 with any questions. Wishing you all a successful last week of Argonne's summer session!
