Argonne Family Letter from the Principal, 8/24/20
Mon, Aug 24 8:17am

Dear Argonne Families,

I hope everyone had a restful weekend and I hope everyone is staying healthy!

It was so nice to see many of you at our distribution days last week! Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to get your children everything they need to begin the year. A special thank you to Ms. Inna, Ms. Roschelle, Ms. Parker, Ms. Wang, Ms. Angelica, our after school partners- Raquel at the RNC and Alex at the YMCA and our Noon Monitors, Daisy and Megan for all their efforts to coordinate, organize, and distribute materials and support parents on both days! And- did everyone pick up their goodie bags at the checkout station?! A big thank you to Rachael Tobener, Alka Patel, Abby Post, Jen Gottlieb, and Denise Goldstein for putting together those special bags for our Argonne students!

A few announcements as we head into this week of school:

      • New Families to get instructional materials.

      • Also, if you still need a Chromebook and/or hotspot (for families without internet), please complete this SFUSD Fall 2020 Technology Request Form and come on Thursday!

  • Attendance- Attendance will be taken daily. Students are expected to actively participate in daily instruction, as informed by their teachers. Students who are doing any of the following will be considered present/participating in class during distance learning:

I want to thank you all in advance for your understanding and flexibility as our teachers and staff continue to work out the details of their schedules.

  • Clap-In LIVE! Our morning school-wide assembly, called Clap-In, has been something that I have greatly missed. I know many of our families and staff have missed the time to see everyone together each morning too. It’s been a great way to begin the day as a school community. This Friday, let’s give it a try! The Zoom meeting will open at 8:27am and we will begin promptly at 8:30am. The link will be shared in an email later this week.

  • SFUSD Family Resource Link- Don’t forget to check in with the SFUSD resource link. This link contains a lot of useful information for families during distance learning.

Thank you again for all your support to help us successfully launch the year. Let’s continue to practice grace and compassion towards each other.

In Community,

Ms. Catingub
