Argonne Family Letter from the Principal, 8/9/20
Mon, Aug 10 10:04am

Dear Argonne Families,

We are just one week away from beginning our regular school session through Distance Learning on August 17th. I hope all of you are staying healthy- wearing those masks and washing your hands!

I want to share some updates and reminders for the start of the regular school year:

  • Activate your ParentVUE account:  Be sure you are signed up on ParentVUE. This tool will ensure that you get the most up to date information from the SFUSD and our school. It allows you to access your child’s information. This will support your child through Kindergarten to High School in SFUSD. Our goal is to have 100% activation for Argonne. Go to the SFUSD Family Portal (ParentVUE) website for more information. You will need an activation code to set up your account. Call the Family Resource Link at 415-340-1716 or to request the activation code or contact the school at

  • Chromebook and Hotspot Needs:  If you need a Chromebook and/or hotspot, please fill out the SFUSD Fall 2020 Technology Request Form. You will need your child’s ID number. You can find this number in ParentVUE. If you do not have your ParentVUE account activated yet, please email to request your child’s ID number. All students who already have an available device at home should keep using that device.

  • Device and Learning Materials Distribution Days- SAVE THE DATES!:  This year, distributions of technology and materials will be given out at each school site. Our Distribution Days will be Monday, August 17th and Tuesday, August 18th. To ensure we have a safe event, we are asking for families to please come to pick up items during your allotted time slot. For families with multiple children, you may choose one of allotted time slots. Please note that this is not a curbside pick up.

    • K-3 students will have devices (as needed) to pick up and materials.

    • 4-5 students will only have materials to pick up.

    • The Argonne PTO will also have a special welcome back surprise for all students.

    • Distribution will be set up on the yard.

    • Entrance will be on 17th Avenue and Exit will be on Cabrillo Street.

    • More details to come later this week.
