Hi Argonne Families,
The PTO invites all Argonne families to create chalk art on the sidewalks outside of our school entrances on 18th Ave and 17th Ave in celebration and appreciation of our teachers for our upcoming school reopening. We welcome families who have decided to continue with Distance Learning and families who will return to school site learning to create chalk messages for their teachers as well as messages for all teachers and staff. Messages such as “Thank you, teachers!” or “We love our teachers!” are great ways to spread our love. Together we will create a beautiful, meaningful, and colorful spectacle to surprise and warm the hearts of our teachers and staff when they return to school on April 5 to continue preparations for school reopening.
The PTO will place buckets of chalk at both the 18th Ave and 17th Ave entrances by tomorrow (Friday) night so that families can start chalking on Saturday. We will continue to replenish the chalk buckets until April 4. All families are invited to come at a time that is best for your schedules. Please be respectful and mindful of chalk art that has already been created around the area in which you will be working. In consideration of health and safety, we encourage families to bring their own chalk and practice proper Covid health guidance such as maintaining social distancing and masking.
If you notice that the buckets are running low on chalk, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Happy Chalking! Have fun! Let's go do some great work!
