Girl Scouts - Volunteers needed for a new Daisy troop at Audubon
Fri, Nov 4 4:24pm

Audubon Families,

Did you know that more than 2/3rds of women in Congress were Girl Scouts? Or that 80% of all female small business owners were once Girl Scouts? And that 93% of women astronauts were also Girl Scouts? The mission of Girl Scouts is to build girls who lead with Courage, Confidence & Character. Girl Scouting offers a diverse program that teaches new skills, provides outdoor exploration opportunities, community service, leadership, and time for fun and bonding with your friends.

Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsyvania would like to start a new Daisy Girl Scout troop for kindergarten and first graders at Audubon but we need interested parents to volunteer to be leaders. There is already a group of families willing to pitch in with the troop, but what we need to get started are adults with the heart and willingness to be a mentor and role model for girls in their community! There is lots of support for new leaders: trainings, information, meeting plans & ideas, and a mentor to help get you started. You don’t have to have been a Girl Scout to be a Girl Scout leader!

If you are interested in leading a Daisy Girl Scout troop for your daughter at Audubon, please contact Liz Kaminetz at or 610-742-5958.
