Methacton Post Prom
Wed, Jan 25 12:51pm

Hello Audubon Families,

The post prom event chairs have asked that we pass along some information on this wonderful event.

There are fundraising opportunities and volunteer opportunities available as well as information on how to tour the school the night of the event while the students are at Prom.  This event is a massive undertaking and takes the whole community to pull this off and keep our kids safe on one of the most exciting nights of their lives.

One of most significant fundraisers is the Adult Dinner Dance.  It is scheduled for Saturday, February 11th at 7 pm at the Empress Room at St. Helena’s Church in Blue Bell.  The link to the event is attached below.  Tickets can be purchased on-line. Gather your friends and neighbors. . .it’s a REALLY fun night out!

In addition, the team is also still in need of donations for the silent auction and basket raffle.  If you have any items that can be donated, please reach out and let us know and we can connect you with the post prom team.

If you would like to donate to this great cause, Checks can be made payable to Methacton Post Prom, P.O. Box 39, Eagleville, PA  19408.

Decorating the school is a huge part of the event each year and requires lots of help from the community.  We have a great core crew of decorators who are happy to help any new volunteers.  No experience is needed.

We are still in need of a committee chair this year for our Sponsor Recognition Booklet, which is distributed during the Community Walk-Through.  As always, we need hundreds of volunteers for the set-up, the actual night of the event and clean-up the next morning.  A volunteer form is attached below.

Additionally, please note that this is the last year that the three of us will co-chair this event.  We will be in need of co-chairs for 2018 if the event is to continue!

Join us for the community walk through on Friday, April 21st at 6 pm to explore the halls magically decorated and experience the awe of the evening.  Each year we expect nearly 1,000 community members to attend the walk-through event.  It’s a great way to catch the Post Prom bug and be inspired to volunteer!

Best regards,

Dawn Pataki, Gina Foley and Janet Bolendz
