Baldwin students have been learning about different cultures and celebrations from the many diverse backgrounds our student body represents. On February 16, as a culminating event, Baldwin will host a "Diversity Day"
Baldwin is asking for parents to please volunteer your time and/or provide an artifact, costume, instruments, ethnic artwork, or craft that you may have around your home that reflects the important culture of your student. Baldwin is asking that you give a small presentation regarding your home country and share the artifacts with the children. Please DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SPECIAL. If you do not have time to volunteer, please consider sending your cultural item in with your student and another volunteer will share the information. Baldwin promises to take good care of your items and appreciates anything you can contribute.
If you are interested in volunteering on this special day, please sign up below or contact Mrs. Copeland at firstname.lastname@example.org or Mrs. Little at email@example.com. You will also need to fill out the volunteer form online through the district website (mcpsva.org) or in the Baldwin main office if you have not done so already this school year. Baldwin would love to have you volunteer in the classroom from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm on February 16, 2018.
