The Bancroft Walk-A-Thon fundraiser is coming up on October 25th!  This is a great, healthy, FUN event that raises money for our school.  Each class has been asked to provide some volunteers before, during, and after the event.  

Volunteers are needed to help out on the field before and after the run by setting up for the event, holding signs to gather students, tallying laps during the run, handing out water, recording student laps on the rosters, calculating pledges, passing out water and cleaning up after the event. 

These volunteer opportunities take 45 minutes or less and are essential to making our Walk-A-Thon a success.

Volunteers do not need to be fingerprinted for this event!

 

Walk-a-thon Schedule:

8:15-9:15a - 3rd & 4th grade event

10-11a - AM Kinder, slip Kinder, 1st & 2nd grade event

1:15-2:15p - PM Kinder & 5th grade event

Help get us set up for a great walk a thon. AM volunteers will help define a safe running lane with caution tape, set up water stations and tally chairs and put up decorations.

Tally Chairs - hand out one bracelet per lap Signed Up: 8 / 6

Lap Counters will hand out a bracelet to each student as they run by the tally chairs. At the end of the event, you will help count bracelets and record the number for each student on the class roster.

Water Station Signed Up: 6 / 6

Fill cups and pass out water to runners/walkers during the event, squirt students with spray bottles to keep them cool upon their request, and hand out water and goodie bags after run

Pledge Tally volunteers will collect lap counts for each class, note the number of laps per student on pledge envelopes and online (if applicable) and indicate the total $ to be collected.
