Connecting our Community
Letter from the PFC President
Welcome Bobcat families! We are looking forward to a great 2019-2020 school year and hope you will join our community throughout the year to participate in and support our events and activities.
Thank you to all the Info Day volunteers and staff that worked many hours to keep the lines moving throughout the afternoon. With MDUSD internet down, our lovely volunteers used their mobile hotspots to help us get up and running just a few minutes behind schedule and processed everyone in a timely manner.
Claudia Bean did a phenomenal job welcoming parents back with coffee and donuts - check out @BancroftPFC on facebook for our KRON4 news coverage.
Fundraising is off to a great start with your generous Dollar-A-Day donations. This campaign is vital as we raise money to support Bancroft teachers and students through our gardening program, instructional assistants in the classroom helping our teachers and learning center, computer techs to help with all of the technology, and much much more!
We are still looking for volunteers for lead roles on the Board or as committee and event chairs. Please contact me if you would like to volunteer and mark you calendars to join us September 10 @ 7pm in the school library for our first meeting. Bancroft PFC will email out our monthly Bobcat Tracks newsletter the Sunday following the PFC meetings, but remember you can also find the most up to date information and copies of the Tracks on Konstella by visiting the CALENDAR or the FEED.
Thank you again for all the support in making Bancroft the best it can be!

Update Your Konstella Account for the New Year
Don't forget to update your Konstella to place your children in their correct classroom. We use Konstella for all school wide events and volunteer opportunities through the Parent Faculty Club (Bancroft PFC) and your room parents will use Konstella to make classroom specific announcements, volunteer opportunities, party sign-ups and much more!
Bancroft PFC will email out our monthly Bobcat Tracks newsletter the Sunday following the PFC meeting, but remember you can also find the most up to date information and copies of the Tracks on Konstella by visiting the CALENDAR or the FEED. Missed something ? - you can find it on Konstella!
Ice Cream Social THIS FRIDAY, August 23, 6-8p
Bring your lawn chair/blankets and your ice cream appetite to join us all in kicking off the new school year. This is a free and fun event for the whole family!
We are looking for volunteers to serve the ice cream - please sign up here on Konstella. A huge thank you to Amiee Gordon for leading this event again this year!
Thank you all for your generous support! We are about 75% of the way to our 2019-2020 goal and donations are still coming in. We are still tallying up the totals and share at the first PFC meeting and in the September Tracks. We will be on hand at both Back to School Night events to take donations, birthday book orders and spirit wear.
Bancroft PFC Volunteers Needed
As parents/guardians at Bancroft, you are all members of the Bancroft PFC. We are still in need of volunteers for 2019-2020 to help us streamline fundraising, run an event, and help us with accounting and other technical tasks from home, etc. You name it - we can use your help to do it!
Please email Sarah Rhodes and email@example.com if you are able to lend a hand this year!
Every Friday is spirit wear day at Bancroft!
A spirit trophy rotates throughout the school year, and is held by the classroom with the most spirit. Help your classroom win by showing off your Bobcat pride!
2019-2020 Bancroft spirit wear in youth and adult sizes is available! See ourwebsite for more info on the next order dates: http://www.bancroftpfc.org/spirit-wear.html
Fulfilled orders will be sent home in your students backpack on the dates indicated on the order form.
Please contact Tatiana Diaz, Spirit Wear Coordinator, with any questions.

Bancroft's New Green Team
We are looking for parents who want to join us in helping Bancroft become more environmentally friendly! We are kicking off this program with an assembly on September 9th with the students. We will need parent volunteers and leaders to help guide this team with things such as cutting down on food waste, properly recycling and composting and finding other creative projects to help educate our students about sustainability. Please sign up on Konstella Green Team Committee if you are interested or contact Angela Sandoval. All levels of experience and ability are welcome! You can dedicate as little or as much time as you are able. Working parents can join also, volunteer opportunities will be both during and after school. Thank you!
Auction - Save the Date - March 21st
This is Bancroft’s biggest fundraiser and will be held again at Heather Farm Community Center on Saturday 3/21/20. This adult only event is always guaranteed to be a fun time for a worthy cause. We have an amazing auction team and would love to recruit more help and cultivate the next class of auction leads for future years. See the Konstella Auction Group for more details or contact Suzanne Leibowitz. Be a part of the fun team that puts this event together, we would love to have you!
