Connecting our Community

Letter from our PFC President

 Hello Bancroft Families,

I hope you had a restful holiday full of family, friends, food, and fun.

-Thank you for your generosity to our community. Because of you, 25 new jackets were distributed in our community and 2 barrels of food fed those in need in Contra Costa.

-Thanks to Clair Boomer for organizing a fun, family, dance party. The 4th grade class made $500 towards their 5th grade outdoor education trip by selling dinner and refreshments.

-Thanks to Lauren Cook and Ms. Gomes for making sure the book fair went smoothly and raised money for our school and classroom libraries.  Our classroom libraries have $2000 of new books due to the book fair proceeds.

There are many opportunities to help our Bancroft community in the coming month,

-Please support Mathletics, one of our school’s major fundraisers, is happening on February 8th.  It’s a fun day for kids and make math fun and accessible.

-Bancroft Auction tickets are on sale now.  Get your tickets online before the price goes up.

-Multicultural night is on February 22.  Please consider sharing your culture with others.  Many have created a booth, made a dish or even played an instrument.  Please contact me @ sandragheinen@gmail.com if you are interested.

Thank you for making Bancroft Elementary the fabulous school that it is.  Thank you for making a difference.

Go Bobcats!

Book Fair raised money for library and classrooms!

Thank you all who attended the book fair!  It was so fun to see our kids so excited about books.  We had a great attendance!  Thank you to the families that made volunteering work around their schedule, it wouldn't have been possible without you!  Together we raised over $2000 for classroom libraries!

Family Dance Night Success

We hope that you enjoyed the fun at Family Dance Night!  Thank you to all that came and danced!  Hopefully the kids slept well that night!

 Box Tops for Education

We have had a strong start to Box Tops contributions this school year. Congratulations to Ms. Andrews’s class for bringing in the most Box Tops in September, Maestra Holt's class for bringing in the most in October, Maestra Giron's class for bringing in the most in November and Ms. Johnson's class for bringing in the most in December!  They are proudly displaying their Bobcat “Putting Your Best Paw Forward” trophy in the pictures here. They each got to hold on to the trophy in their class for a month and are each awarded with extra recess time.
Thank you! This results in more funds for our school to help support the programs and resources our children benefit from.
Look for Box Tops on your grocery and household packages, then bring them to Bancroft in a bag or envelope or Box Top sheet labeled with your teacher’s name.  Here is a link to all the products that carry Box Tops for Education: https://www.boxtops4education. com/earn/participating- products
