With talent show registrations far exceeding our expectations over the first week, we are now closing sign-ups. With the large number of acts expressing interest, it's clear we are in for an epic event for the whole community to enjoy!
Given the number of registrations, we will need to make some adjustments for time management. First, it looks like we will split the show into two (K – 2nd, 3rd – 5th – more on that later.)
Next, we need to limit students to one act and need to ask students and parents who registered to put on more than one act to please go back and choose which one they prefer (delete your second entry here: https://docs.google.com/
To ensure better management of the event, we will have auditions in mid-March for all acts. Students will need to be prepared to go through their act during that session. We realize it will take more practice for students to get it show-ready, but we want to get/give ideas on what works for the show during that session. If you registered, please keep an eye out for an email from me on the topic.
Finally, to make all of this work, we need the community to pitch in for some fun volunteer activities leading up to and during the night of the event. Many of these volunteer roles will be great opportunities to work with the kids in the background of the event to see how they perceive the magic happening. I’ll put out a sign-up sheet later this month as well.
