Calling all parents!  Volunteer at Barron Park Elementary and the PTA

Barron Park Elementary needs your help! Students and teachers benefit from your involvement at school. We have many open volunteer positions, from helping with school events to shelving books in the library and being on the yearbook committee. We even have positions that you can do from home! E-mail the PTA and join the fun, rewarding experience of helping the community by volunteering at Barron Park Elementary!

The Thank You Corner is a place to publicly say thanks to the wonderful volunteers who help out at our school. If you have a suggestion of someone to thank, please send it to the eNews Editors. Thanks for all that you do!

Green tip: Celebrate Love, Conserve!

Show your love sustainably. For Valentine’s Day and other celebrations and holidays this month, giving experiences can be just as valuable, if not more, than stuff. Or, opt for Fair Trade chocolates, pesticide-free flowers, and conflict-free diamonds. Share some unwrapped baked goods, regift something someone would love, or craft homemade, recycled Valentines (you can use old artwork). Afterward, remember that in addition to food, wet or soiled paper (without paint or plastic) can go in the compost. That goes for those tissues, napkins, cups and plates, too. Share love for the planet!
