Green tip: Celebrate Love, Conserve! Show your love sustainably. For Valentine’s Day and other celebrations and holidays this month, giving experiences can be just as valuable, if not more, than stuff. Or, opt for Fair Trade chocolates, pesticide-free flowers, and conflict-free diamonds. Share some unwrapped baked goods, regift something someone would love, or craft homemade, recycled Valentines (you can use old artwork). Afterward, remember that in addition to food, wet or soiled paper (without paint or plastic) can go in the compost. That goes for those tissues, napkins, cups and plates, too. Share love for the planet!
