Green tip: A Greener Garden

Your garden is a great place to go green - in more ways than one. Whether you have a home garden, a community plot, or several pots, you can use compost (pickup free compost from the city), take a composting workshop, share seeds at a seed library. Water your garden with rain or greywater and mulch it. Plant native plants, edible plants, and ones that attract pollinators (including butterflies!). Reuse and recycle pots, and find plants at a garden share. Involve the whole family in gardening to help our communities and our future thrive. https://www.cityofpaloalto.org/Departments/Public-Works/Zero-Waste/Things-You-Can-Do/Zero-Waste-Living-Landing/In-the-Garden
