Dear Barron Park Families:
It's time for the annual third-grade bike rodeo! As you may know, all third graders in the Palo Alto school system participate in a program that teaches bicycle safety. The program consists of three lessons: two classroom lessons followed by a bike rodeo where the students bring their bikes (or scooters) to school and practice what they have learned. This year's bike rodeo will take place on Wednesday, September 18, from 8:30AM-10AM on the playground blacktop.
As always, we will need your help in order to make the rodeo a success! We are looking for at least 18 volunteers to run the stations on the morning of the rodeo. Volunteers will need to arrive by 8AM on the morning of the rodeo (7:45 is even better if possible) and will need to stay until 10AM.
This is an important event and is one that the kids really enjoy. Most importantly, this event helps the kids stay safe on the road! So please consider volunteering to help out with this year's third grade bike rodeo!
