After School Activities Coordinator Signed Up: 1 / 2

Coordinate with vendors and collaborate with the school secretary to run the PTA funded after school scholarship program. (most busy in early August when new vendors are identified, after that 1-5 hours monthly)

Auction Chair Signed Up: 2 / 2

With support from the VP Fundraising, lead the team planning the spring dinner & auction! (5-10 hours monthly; increasing in spring 2023)

Auction Event Committee (spring 2023) Signed Up: 0 / 20

Help Plan a fantastic fundraising event for our parent community in the spring. October 2022 - April 2023 Roles include: - logo design - marketing/PR - Menu, catering selection - auction item solicitations - ticket sales - fund & games planning - decor - day of event support

Auditor Signed Up: 1 / 1

Conducts semi-annual audit of Barron Park PTA financial records. (1-5 hours quarterly)

Book Faire Coordinator Signed Up: 1 / 2

Contract with Book Fair vendor and organize surrounding events (typically 1 week). 10-20 hours total, busiest close to event date.

Bulletin Board & Marquee Steward Signed Up: 1 / 1

Update parking lot marquee and bulletin board to reflect upcoming school activities. (1 hour weekly)

Community Closet Signed Up: 1 / 3

Help the Community Closet with organizing donations and helping Up-cycle to the community. Take home what you need - clothes, shoes and more! Four donation drives throughout the year are planned in 2023-24, the programs' 2nd year.

Special Ed / CAC Representative Signed Up: 1 / 5

Support for special needs families navigating the IEP and 504 process. (plan at least 2x parent coffees, socials attend district wide meetings as needed). Pratibha Gupta is acting as Lead for 2023-24 and additional reps are needed.

Records and deposits all PTA donations and issues receipts. (1-5 hours monthly)

Foster a culture of health throughout the school. This role hasn't been filled for a number a years. Take health and wellness to new heights? Want to start a Thursday-morning burpee program before school? Want to arrange a presentation on the importance of Sleep ? Jump into this role and go for it!

Organize food for PTA and Barron Park staff events. Oversee Teacher Appreciation Week activities. (1-5 hours monthly, mostly during school day)

PA Children's Theater Parent Coordinator Signed Up: 1 / 2

Children's Theatre programs at BP is awesome and amongst the more memorable activities at school. Parents help make this program run smoothly.

PJ Movie Night Coordinator Signed Up: 2 / 2

Plan and manage PJ Movie Night events. (1-5 hours monthly, or periodically as events are planned). In 2022-23 there were approx 4 Movie Nights and approx 4 planned for 2023-24. There are many opportunities to stay involved during the actual movie night so stay tuned!

Oversee fundraising efforts at our school site as directed by PiE. (1-5 hours monthly, primarily in the fall)

Maintain Barron Park's PTA website. Important: someone needs to be responsible for checking and applying security patches. It's really important to apply security updates regularly. <--- If you know what this means then you should consider this position. The PTAC (District PTA) offers support. Other website related activities are a part of this.
