Bay Farm Donation Drive Begins Today!
October 1–31
Our Goal: $50,000
Last year, Bay Farm earned a National Blue Ribbon Award, made possible by families like yours. This recognition was not funded by the district. It was powered by direct donations to the PTSA, which budgets over $300 per student each year for programs, events, and resources that make learning at Bay Farm exceptional.
Before COVID closures, our school had healthy fundraising and reserves to carry programs forward. Since reopening, fundraising has been a challenge. Last year, we came dangerously close to cutting programs that bring joy and enrichment to our kids. We have stretched every dollar, tied funding releases to goals, and relied on spring fundraising events, but to support students throughout the year we need strong early donations.
This year, the stakes are even higher. We’ve recently learned that District funding stops short of a full day for Ms. Debbie, creating a health and safety gap. Principal Rahima secured an additional 30 minutes/day from the district, but that still leaves a gap. The PTSA will vote at the October 8 general meeting to spend up to $5,000 to keep her on campus longer. Please join us on the 8th. We need your voice.
What the District Does Not Pay For
Many parents are surprised to learn how much of what our kids experience depends on PTSA funds. Take a look:
Without donations, these programs and resources could disappear.
We Know It Is a Big Ask
We understand $300 per student is a lot, but it's less than a week of camp and funds an entire school year. That is why we provide many ways to give so every family can participate at a level that works for them.
