Important Traffic Update: New All-Way Stops

There are two important changes to traffic patterns on Aughinbaugh Way. The intersections at Aughinbaugh Way & Kofman Parkway and Aughinbaugh Way & Sea View Parkway are now all-way stops. These are both T intersections where only the intersecting road previously had a stop sign. Stop signs were installed yesterday, and there will be temporary signage to help notify drivers about the change. Please expect a learning curve.
Many motorists have been driving through these intersections for years and may be driving instinctively. Please wait for other motorists to come to a complete stop before entering the intersection. It may take a few weeks for everyone to notice, learn, and change habits.
City note: Temporary barricade signage will be placed at both intersections: “NEW ALL-WAY STOP AHEAD” about 150 ft in advance, and “NEW ALL-WAY STOP” at the approach. The temporary signage will remain for 60 days to assist with motorist education. |
