Week of October 6
Help Us Fund the Programs Our Kids Rely On
We’re climbing toward our $50,000 goal, already at $10,000! Our PTSA makes so much possible that the district doesn’t provide, including $15,000 in reading and math intervention. We know reading and math are the building blocks of every subject, and that early support leads to long-term academic success. That is why we are committed to funding this essential program. It’s working. Last year, Bay Farm students scored at the very top of the district on standardized tests and earned a Blue Ribbon Award. That kind of success is only possible because families like you step up.
Our general ask is $300 per student, and we are grateful for whatever amount works for your family. If you are in a position to give more, your generosity helps us stretch even further. Every contribution matters and keeps essential programs alive at Bay Farm. Other schools ask families for much more—Chabot in Oakland up to $2,500, Edison in Alameda $450, and Malcolm X in Berkeley $500. At Bay Farm, families give what they can, and together we deliver incredible value.
Don’t forget, many employers will match your donation, doubling your gift at no extra cost.
Help us keep every child on track.

Be a Part of Fall Festival
We need volunteers to host a trunk-or-treat, middle and high school students to run stations (and earn service hours), and adults to lead booths.
Don’t let the fun disappear. Join us to make Fall Festival a success!
Tuesday Dine & Donate @ Tomatina
Dine at Tomatina this Tuesday and mention Bay Farm PTSA. 15% of your meal goes back to our school! Enjoy lunch, dinner, or takeout, and don’t forget to invite friends and family.
Wednesday Is International Walk and Roll to School Day
|
October 8 is International Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day! We encourage families to walk or bike not just this day, but as often as possible to build healthy habits, reduce traffic, and protect the environment. Let’s get outside, enjoy the fall weather, and arrive at school ready to learn! |
PTSA Meeting This Wednesday @ 6:30 PM
Join us in the MPR to learn more about our innovative Environmental Science & Gardening program led by Farmer Marianne.
Additional agenda items include: Financial Review for last year, Board/Committee Reports, and Budget Updates.
We plan on having a kids station in the back of the MPR with some high school volunteers.
Is Your Hoodie Hiding Here?
Our Lost & Found is bursting with jackets, hoodies, and more! Stop by soon to claim your items before they disappear for good. Unclaimed belongings will be donated during an upcoming break! |
