Haven’t filled out the interest form yet? There’s still time. Remember, AUSD volunteer clearance must be renewed every school year, and this year you’ll also need to complete the mandated reporter training.

We still need adult volunteers for morning and potentially afternoon shifts! You don’t have to be available every day, and even a little time makes a difference.
We’re also looking for a Safety Patrol Lead, and you can even share the role with a friend!

DONATION DRIVE • THROUGH SEP 19
We’ve raised $15,100 of our $50,000 fall Donation Drive goal, while our neighbors at Earhart and Otis have each already raised more than $40,000. We know Bay Farm can get there too!
PTSA needs to raise nearly $200,000 each year to support the programs, supplies, enrichment, and improvements our students rely on. When our whole pod swims together, we can do great things for our kids and the kids to come.

We’re 170 members strong, but with about 500 students at Bay Farm, our pod has plenty of room to grow! Membership gives you a voice in the PTSA, supports PTA advocacy for kids and schools, and comes with member discounts.
Plus, the two classrooms with the highest percentage of students represented by a PTSA membership will each earn their teacher a $50 Lakeshore Learning coupon!

Pokémon TCG Club Is Back!
FALL 2026
Pokémon Trading Card Game Club returns for Fall 2026! Kids will learn the official game rules and card mechanics, practice fair play, and develop strategy while having fun with other Pokémon fans.
Gotta catch a spot fast! Registration filled in under an hour last year. Want to join the fun with your child? We need parent volunteers, too!

Get Your Wiggles Out With Rajio Taiso!
FRIDAY MORNING CEREMONY • 8:20 AM
We’re starting Friday Morning Ceremony with Rajio Taiso, a few minutes of simple movement to get the wiggles out before we ask our kids to listen. Parents, join in too! You might feel the difference yourself.

Calling all Bay Farm creators! This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me”, but it’s just a starting point.
Think broadly about culture: family, community, traditions, interests, experiences, or even what it means if you’re not quite sure what your culture is. There’s no one right way to interpret the theme!

Girls on the Run begins Sep. 14 at Earhart! Open to girls in grades 3–8, with just 15 spots available. Financial assistance is available.

AEF Fall Enrichment registration is open, with lots of after-school options for Alameda students. And save the date for the Back 2 School BBQ on Sep. 17 from 5:30–8:00 PM!

ELECTION DAY • TUE, NOV 3
PTA is nonpartisan, but that doesn’t mean we sit out civic life. This November, Alameda voters will choose local leaders, including School Board members, Mayor, and City Council, and weigh in on measures that affect our schools and community.
Take some time to understand your ballot, hear from local candidates, and make a plan to vote!

A Few Safety Reminders
Thanks for helping keep our drop-off loop running smoothly! A few reminders for kids and grown-ups:
- Walk bikes and scooters once you reach school.
- Keep dogs off campus during busy arrival and dismissal times.
- Always use crosswalks (even in the loop) and flashing beacons when available.
- Staff parking spaces are always reserved. Please use the drop-off loop.
- Look before opening car doors on Aughinbaugh. Watch for cyclists!
- Ride with traffic in the bike lane, never against it.
