Parenting Book Club: When the Naughty Step Makes Things Worse

Monday, Feb 23 at 7:00 PM | Bay Farm School Library

Join us for a discussion of When the Naughty Step Makes Things Worse by Dr. Naomi Fisher & Eliza Fricker. This practical, illustrated guide is for families who’ve found that traditional rewards, consequences, and “be more consistent” advice only escalates conflict.

We’ll explore fresh approaches for supporting kids who don’t respond to the usual rulebook — and ways to help both children and parents thrive.

Around-the-School Safety Update

City staff recently observed some students biking through the intersection at Aughinbaugh and Limerick in a way that may be less predictable for drivers. Since Aughinbaugh and Kofman Parkway is now an all-way stop, families are encouraged to have students use the recommended route shown below for improved visibility and safety.

Please remind your kids of safe practices and help spread the word. Thank you for doing your part to keep our community safe.
