I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated PTSA Executive Board, committee leads, and volunteers. The many opportunities to get involved throughout the year don't just benefit our students– help build the strong, connected community that makes Bay Farm so special.

Have a wonderful summer, and we'll see you next year!

Help keep Bay Farm's award-winning school garden thriving this summer! We are looking for families to help water the garden from June through August.

Community service hours and Environmental Ed class credit are available.

Thank you to the families who supported our Family Garden Work Days, volunteered during Garden and Environmental Science classes, and helped make this year's garden program such a success.

Help Build Classroom Furniture

We are looking for a few volunteers to help assemble furniture for our teachers before the school year ends.

Interested? Stop by the office anytime between 8:00 AM–4:00 PM and start building! No need to make special arrangements.

Help Create Next Year’s PTSA Newsletter

We’re looking for a volunteer to help assemble the PTSA’s weekly newsletter for the 2026-27 school year. We provide the content and templates — you help bring it all together. Perfect for someone who enjoys design and communications.

Lost and Found
Lost & Found Overflowing!

Our Lost & Found is packed with sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, and more. Please check for missing items before the end of the school year before everything is cleared out for summer.

Volunteer Requirements Update

Important updates for 2026: AUSD has shared new state volunteer requirements for next year.

Starting July 1, 2026, Level 2 “Ongoing” volunteers and Level 3 “Ongoing, Allowed to Drive Students” volunteers will need to complete annual mandated reporter training, provide evidence of completion, and complete volunteer registration approval annually.

AUSD also notes that volunteers who register annually only need to get fingerprinted once. Volunteers who are not registered annually in Arbiter will be reported as “inactive” and will need to be fingerprinted again if they want to volunteer in future years.

Learn more on the AUSD Volunteer Information Page .

Keeping Our Students Safe

Summer safety reminder: School may be out, but kids are still out walking, biking, scootering, and playing throughout our community.

Please slow down, stay alert, and watch for children on neighborhood streets, especially near parks, trails, and intersections.

Summer is also a great time to help kids build safe biking skills. People riding bicycles are expected to follow the rules of the road, and learning those skills early helps everyone stay safe. Before heading out, consider reviewing the rules of the road together or participating in a local bike education class through cycling education organizations.
