***Cancelled*** Teen Film Screening: "The Mask You Live In" co-presented by AUSD, Alameda Recs & Parks Dept. and Alameda PTA Council
Tue, Mar 10 2:50pm

Dear Community,

I am sad to send this out but, out of an abundance of caution and a commitment to keeping our community safe, we have decided to cancel or postpone “non-essential” AUSD events for the next 14 school days. As such, these adjustments will be in effect from March 10 through March 27.

Given health and safety concerns associated with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and guidance we have received from public health officials, we will be canceling all in-person events until March 27 when the agency will re-evaluate local circumstances in consultation with Health Officials.

This cancellation is precautionary step for the protection of participants and staff involved in our events and NOT related to any specific case or potential case of COVID-19 infection. As you are aware, large gatherings across the Bay Area are being postponed to implement “social distancing” i.e., reducing the possibility that people who are infected come in contact with others –a key part of limiting the spread of this disease.

Please know that we value your partnership and will stay in communication with you if a future date is identified this school year.
