2019 Bay Farm Science & Engineering Fair - More Volunteers Needed!
Multipurpose Room

The Science and Engineering Fair's success depends on parent involvement so sign up to help! We need people to help recruit judges and help out on March 21st.

In particular, we need volunteers to escort students from their classroom to the fair (8:30am - 1pm) for judging. If you can help (even for a little time), it would be appreciated!

More information about the Science & Engineering Fair is at: http://bayfarmptsa.org/programs/steam/

Judge Recruitment (on-going) Signed Up: 1 / 10

Use your networks to find people willing to be Science Fair judges on Thursday, March 21st from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm. Once you've secured a volunteer judge, please send their name and contact information to Judith Denery . We prefer to have judges who are not also Bay Farm parents. Here's some information to help you recruit judges: Each project is evaluated by a pair of judges and evaluate 15-30 projects. Typically, these projects will be from students in the same or similar grades (e.g. all 5th graders or K&1st graders). Both the student's board and an interview with the student contribute to the total score (score sheets provided). Each project should take ~15 minutes to evaluate: ~5 minutes reviewing the poster; ~7-9 minutes interview; and another ~1-2 minutes writing your final scores/thoughts. Volunteering to be a judge may count as community service hours for employees.
