Bike Mobile Coming to the Spring Multicultural Festival -- Saturday, April 13, 1-4PM
Tue, Apr 9 1:43pm
Bay Farm School

We want to see more students and parents riding their bikes to school! We know bikes need a lot of maintenance and that’s why we’ve invited The Safe Routes to Schools BikeMobile to provide free tune ups for all parents, students and teachers at our school!

If your bike or your child’s bike is making one of those mystery sounds or collecting dust because it has a flat tire, bring it to school on Saturday, April 13th between 1-4PM. This is a first come, first serve event. We can only guarantee to fix the first 20 bikes that sign up, so please come early!

The BikeMobile can fix flat tires, adjust brakes and gears, and even replace broken or worn out parts like chains, seats, and tires. The only thing it can’t do is replace missing wheels or gears. While the mechanics work on your bike they’ll explain how it works and how to keep it running smooth. Bike or no bike, everyone is welcome to attend to learn about maintenance, safety, and more!

Would you like to help staff the event? We welcome parent volunteers who want to help with signups and repairs. To signup as a volunteer and to learn more about our great program log onto or contact

This service is offered through the Alameda County Transportation Commission’s Safe Routes To Schools program and is staffed by Local Motion.
