We are kicking off the New Year with a couple of our auction “hosted parties” to get our fundraising started! Sign-ups are now open for the Wine and Braids Party on January 31st and High Tea Party on February 8th!

Wine and Braids, who ever knew they pair perfectly together? Join us for an evening of fun with braiding expert, Angela Cattaneo, founder of Beyond the Ponytail . With over 19 years of experience in the hair industry, Angela will share with you the braids that you need to know to elevate your braiding skills and have you creating some fun looks for your daughters. Angela trains hundreds of stylists around the country in basic and advanced braiding motor skills and has designed a class specifically for the mom that desires to style their daughter’s hair beyond a ponytail. The looks that will be taught are the Dutch braid, fishtail braid into a braided bun and a favorite of many, the pull-through braid. Along with tips and tricks for conquering any styling challenge. No need to bring anything (just an open mind), all supplies and mannequins will be provided. Wine and appetizers are included too!! Check out Angela @beyondtheponytail.

Distinguished young women and gentlemen are invited to high tea with the accompaniment of their parent or special adult. Charlene Ferguson Lee and Diana Moffett will host three seatings of afternoon delight at 11am, 1:30pm and 4pm. Fancy attire recommended. Includes assorted tea, cocoa for non-tea drinkers, pastries, hors d' ouevres and bubbly. Please advise if there are any food allergies when signing up.

There are many ways to support the biggest fundraiser for our school, and one way is to host a party or event to auction off. And, it’s easier than you think!
First, figure out what you’re interested in or something you’re good at that you’d like to offer. If you have a business you’d like to promote, this would be a great way to do that. If you have an idea, we’re ready to hear it! Or, if you’d like to host an event but not quite sure what to do, we have a TON of ideas! Some include Marvel-ous Backyard Movie Night, Kentucky Derby, Spa Day, a Specialty Cooking Class, a day of Cultural Immersion, Dad’s Night Out, Craft Night, A Night of Theater Improv, Mexican Fiesta, Hawaiian Luau, STEAM Night, Poker Night, Parent vs Child Baseball Game, Global Street Food Dinner, Horseshoes and BBQ, Dim Sum and Mahjong, Karaoke, Dumpling Making, Cupcakes and Cocktails, Basketball and Beer, Sake Tasting, BBQ and Bourbon, Couples Hike and Gourmet Lunch, Craft Beer Showdown, Art and Yoga Retreat, Pajama Party, and Scavenger Hunt.
