The following are highlights from the December 4th meeting


March 2020 Parcel Tax

Special guest Beth Aney (Strong Schools for Alameda, PTAC president, Bay Farm parent) provided general information and answered questions on the upcoming parcel tax measure.

The Association voted to endorse the measure and to contribute to the campaign.

The Read-a-thon has wrapped up and results will be announced soon.

Preparations are being made for the bi-annual Spring Gala Auction. Save the date for March 21st to join us in a fun evening of dining, dancing and “putting on the Ritz!”

Middle School Committee

Many great activities going on: Spirit-wear orders are going very soon, Friday 12/13 is a special Middle School Movie Night (Black Panther), Bowling Night is being planned for April and Career Day is being planned for the spring.


Inclusion and Diversity Committee

We are still working on getting buddy benches. On January 24th Soul Shoppe is coming out for our rescheduled assembly. February is Black History Month; we’re brainstorming on how to honor this best and are welcoming ideas!

Go Green Committee We are looking at planning some special activities on campus for Earth Day in April. Please join Go Green Committee in Konstella if you’d like to help out.

We are also starting a Konstella social group called “Bike Trains / Walking School Buses / Carpools” to connect families that want to work together to reduce traffic congestion around school.


AEF Afterschool Program

The schedule is finished for Winter and Spring, it will be online before the winter break. Registration starts on Jan 9th


Mini Grant Proposals

The 8 received proposals were discussed in length and voted on by the Association members present. Winners will be announced soon!



Rohit Reddy (Bay Farm Parent) is collecting signatures for statewide ballot measure: School and communities first. While he cannot collect signatures on school grounds anyone interested in learning more about this potential ballot measure please feel free to reach out to him via Konstella.
