Join the Bayside GIVEs club in fighting local hunger
Did you know that 1 in 10 people in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties turn to Second Harvest Food Bank for food every single month? Astronomical rents in Silicon Valley are keeping many hardworking families from getting ahead.
The good news is that we have the power to make a difference and help local hungry families to the health and nutritious food they need to thrive. The Bayside GIVEs club is sponsoring a food drive to aid in the fight against local hunger. Every $1 or 2.4 pounds you donate creates 2 meals.
To spice things up a bit, we're running a contest to see which grade can raise the most money and donate the most food. The winning grade will be crowned as the 2017 Bayside Hunger Warriors and will claim bragging rights for the rest of the year. Will last year's 7th graders (now 8th grade) hold onto their title or will there be a new Hunger Warrior class? We can do this together Bayside - all participating students, parents, and staff can take pride in knowing YOU helped fight hunger in your community. Bring non-perishable food items to the Bayside front office or donate online here:
