Message from your PTA co-Presidents
As we wrap up this academic year, we celebrate and congratulate the 8th grade and 5th grade graduates of Bayside Academy. These wonderful young people are a reminder of why Bayside PTA members work so hard to support enriched academics, a love of learning, and a caring community.
We thank the numerous people who’ve contributed to Bayside this year - whether it was by helping in the classroom, with sports or a field-trip, or simply by showing up when a student most needed it. Even in this abbreviated year, the PTA has offered or assisted with Parent Education events, garden & campus enhancements, Thanksgiving and holiday cookie buffets for teachers & staff, middle school clubs & team sports, logo wear sales, an International Food Fair, K-5 Books & Bingo Night, and the first-ever Bayside Theater Showcase. A team of dedicated parents & staff helped to celebrate our 8th graders with lawn signs & small gifts. Thanks to generous donations from Bayside families, the PTA helped fund STEM & STEAM, art, music, PE, & literacy programs - plus teacher supplies & materials and a necessary staff position.
While storefronts are still boarded up and uncertainty remains in back-to-school plans, we are hopeful. It’s a hope rooted in our rich and diverse community. Our PTA is steadfastly committed to doing everything we can to realize the potential of each student at Bayside. What you do as parents and/or educators matters. It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it.
We can’t wait to see you in person again. We’ve missed you all so much. Until that reunion, enjoy your summer!
