Join the Bayside K-5 STEAM staff for a fun night of bingo and pizza on Friday, February 7th from 5-7pm in the Bayside Gym. With a focus on literacy, students will walk away with a new book, and parents will walk away with strategies to help their children succeed in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. 6th Grade Basketball Sports Night, Tues 2/4, 5:30-7:00 in the Gym
This is a mandatory meeting for all 6th grade Basketball athletes AND parents/guardians. Before Sports Night, please officially register for your child's team here: https://tinyurl.com/SMFC6BB, and fill out the Sports Night packet which your student will be bringing home soon. One form in the packet is for making a donation to help cover the cost of the Middle School Athletics program. Bayside Campus & Facility Needs Meeting, Thurs 2/6
The San Mateo-Foster City School District is developing a Facilities Master Plan for the new decade and is seeking parent input. At this meeting, the District will review projects completed at Bayside under the current plan, review a preliminary list of projects and hear public input. Help advocate for future Bayside students by attending: Thursday, February 6th, 8-9am, in the Bayside Staff Lounge.
The Readathon is in full swing this week! Please help your child activate and send out pledge requests using their 99Pledges fundraising page. If you need help logging in, visit smfcedfund.org/readathon for instructions. Our goal is to raise $25 per student and $100,000 as a whole. Two students from each school will be invited to a Readathon Reception with a reading by guest author, Elisa Kleven!
FAB Lab, Friday, 3/27
Mark your calendars for the Bayside award-winning FAB Lab on Friday, March 27th at 6:30pm in the Bayside Gym! What IS FAB Lab? An evening of hands-on learning and discovery at a variety of activity tables and exploration stations, FAB Lab celebrates and showcases Bayside's STEM program. Students, families, staff and teachers gather to participate in building or exploring squish rockets, augmented reality sandboxes, robotics obstacle courses and much more. Students collaborate to build giant Sierpinski Pyramid art. Attendees bring home their creations to continue the discovery and fun of learning.
