Holiday Cookie Extravaganza for Bayside Staff

Thursday, December 19, 2019

Give from your heart...homemade items are the best!  Please drop off baked goods in the office labeled Holiday Cookie Extravaganza. Items can be dropped off until 10:30am on Thursday, December 19th.  Please indicate what your item is and whether it contains nuts. Items can be brought in a baking dish to be cut or individually wrapped. Please label your baking dish if you would like returned.  In addition to baked goods, help setting up/clean up as well as holiday decorations are much appreciated! Any questions, please contact Courtney Walker 480-734-5189.

To volunteer to donate food items or to help, please see our Cookie Extravaganza signup sheet.

Many thanks and Happy Holidays!  --Rumdoul Villegas and Courtney Walker

Give the Gift of an Enriched Education to our Students

We know you have many options when it comes to year-end giving. Why not choose the Bayside Academy PTA? Our PTA direct-giving campaign has raised 64% of this year's goal. We are using small and large gifts to enrich education and change lives at our school. It's the last chance to make a tax-deductible donation for the 2019 tax year.

To donate please go to:

The Bayside Academy PTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and our tax ID is #94-6171267.

Thanks for your support!

Book Fair Raised over $5,600 for Bayside's Library!

Bayside's annual Book Fair this past week was an amazing success! Thanks to the support of parents, students, teachers, staff and the community, we raised over $5,600 in funds, which will be used to purchase more books for the Library.

A special thank you to our two Bayside librarians, Karen Helman (6th-8th) and Gabriela Mosqueda (K-5th) for their hard work publicizing, scheduling classes and manning the Book Fair all week. Thanks also to the school office for their help getting the word out by school e-blasts and announcements, and to all our teachers for bringing their classes to the Fair.

Book Fair co-chairs Rumdoul Villegas and Kim Crellin would like to express their immense gratitude to the parent volunteers who helped the Fair run so smoothly - we could not have done it without you! Many thanks to: Angela Molyneux, Brian Gee, Carrie Cavigioli, Courtney Walker, Dana Seydel, David Beltran, Elena Strygin, Elsbeth Padia, Florence Fung, Frances Wong, Heidy Lopez, Judy Jeschke, Kara Nicholas, Lauren Schanker, Liz Yeager, Michelle Ke, Momoe Fu, Sung Hye Byun, Tammy Shueh and Tracey Gilfether.

Finally, thank you Bayside families and students for shopping the Book Fair, supporting our school and also generously donating many books to your classrooms. If you weren't able to go to the Fair this past week, please check out our Online Fair, open through Tuesday, December 17th, which also benefits the school too!  Just go to

to order from the entire Scholastic online catalog. Orders ship directly to your home. Free standard shipping for orders over $25.

Thanks again to everyone for making this event fun and successful!
