Volunteers Needed for Walk-A-Jog and Family Festival on September 15th!

Bayside 1st Annual Walk-A-Jog and Family Festival is just 3 days away,

and we need YOU to make this a great day for the Bayside community!

Over 170 students have registered to participate in the Walk-A-Jog and many more are coming with friends and family to enjoy the Festival, so please 

SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER to make this event a success.

All shifts are about 1 - 1.5 hours long from 3:30 pm – 7:30 pm.

 

Can you help in one of these areas?

  1. Sell Carnival Wristbands, Raffle tickets or Silent auction tickets
  2. Monitor Bounce House, Obstacle course or Sports Station.  Making sure kids have a wristband and limit # in the inflatable at a time. Your kids can be playing in the carnival area at the same time. Teens can help monitor too.
  3. Check-in Walk-a-Joggers, giving them their T-shirts and bibs. Tally laps after their grade is done walk-a-jogging.
  4. We need ice! Bags can be dropped off at the check-in table when you arrive.

Walk-A-Jog Donations Due September 14!

 

It's not too late to register your child for the Walk-A-Jog at

 so, they can Walk-A-Jog with their classmates on Friday, September 15! Registered participants can either collect pledges online (by credit card or by check payable to Bayside Academy PTSA) or they can bring cash or checks to the school office in an envelope labeled with student's name.

This fundraiser raises vital funds to support all the amazing programs paid for by Bayside Academy PTSA.

Donations are for fixed amounts (not per lap) and can be collected online or handed in to the school office anytime until end of the school year. 

To be eligible, all pledges must be completed online by Saturday, September 30th or turned in by 9 am, Friday, September 29th.

 

Schedule of Events

 

The Walk-A-Jog event is combined with our Family Festival, so we encourage EVERYONE to come out and join us! Even if you decide not to walk or run, there will be plenty of fun things to do and lots of great food, entertainment, cakewalk, amazing raffle, and Silent Auction prizes!

The Festival runs from 3:30 pm-8:00 pm.

Walk-A-Jog Check-in: If your child is Walk-a-jogging, please check-in at the Registration/Check-in Table at least 20 minutes before their start-time to pick up their bib, and T-shirt. When they finish, return to Registration to check-out and get their laps tallied. Schedule of Events:

The Walk-A-Jog and Festival will be taking place on Bayside campus, on the track and grassy field, with registration and check-in outside.  Food and drink sales will be near the entrance, near the track, and on the grass.

Important note about $ payment options:  

We will be taking CASH for food and drink sales. We will accept Credit Cards also (via Square) for Carnival Wristbands, Silent Auction and Raffle tickets. If you need more "cash" you can use your credit card to buy tickets at the Wristband Booth. Tickets will be worth $1.00 each. (Note that food trucks, Jamba Juice, and Menchie’s won't accept tickets)
